Hello everyone,
Should you have any problems with how I'm playing Renee please tell me, either anonymously or logged in. I'm especially aware that as a gay woman of color there's a greater potential to portray her in ways that are offensive or harmful (While I in no way intend to do so, intent doesn't make said screw ups any less offensive), so let me know right away if I do so.
Renee is an amazing character, and I want to do her justice, so don't worry about hurting my feelings. Anon commenting is totally allowed if you don't feel comfortable voicing issues in the open.

Exsilium Permission Post

CHARACTER SERIES: DC Comics
[OOC]
This is the permissions list for OOC (out of character), activity.
Answer the following questions with "yes" or "no", as well as additional information if desired.
Backtagging: Absolutely. My life has a habit of getting hectic, so I understand others are in the same boat.
Threadhopping: I don't have a problem with it.
Fourthwalling: Renee's from a pretty obscure comic, but she's seen a lot of weird stuff. People claiming Batman and Superman are comic book characters might get a weird look from her, but won't freak her out, so go ahead!
Offensive subjects (elaborate): I'd like to be contacted first before dealing with this. While I understand wanting to address heavy topics (indeed Renee lends herself to such topics) I also understand they are issues that can be very harmful to people in real life, and that I might not have the writing skills to portray with the maturity and sensitivity they deserve. I'll certainly consider ideas, but if I don't feel I can thread them out respectfully I'll probably say no.

Answer the following questions with "yes" or "no", as well as additional information if desired. With IC permissions, it's a good idea to elaborate on what other players can expect from your character if they choose to do any of the following:
Hugging this character: Yes, but don't expect her to react well to a stranger initiating contact, she can be a bit prickly.
Kissing this character: Yes, if it's familial kiss on the cheek with people she likes she'll let it slide, if it's romantic it better be from a woman she herself is romantically interested in or beatings may ensue.
Flirting with this character: Absolutely, when it comes to women while off duty Renee has a tendency to be a flirt, even if she's tried to tone it down in recent years. Men will either get a amused brush off/goodnatured rejection or aggressively shut down depending on how they approach it.
Fighting with this character: Yes, and I'm perfectly willing to let Renee get the crap beaten out of her. She's a extremely tough and skilled fighter, but a lot of people here are outside her weight class. I just ask that we figure out a way that's respectful to her character.
Injuring this character (include limits and severity): I'd be fine with minor to moderate injuries for normal encounters (From bruises and cuts to busted ribs and broken noses), and I'm open to more severe injuries if they are part of a major plot that's been planned out.
Killing this character: No
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Yes with a caveat of letting me know what you wish to learn first. Renee has had serious mental/pseudo-mystical training to resist this kind of stuff. She's not immune, but for important stuff it'll at least take effort to get it out of her.
Warnings:
Renee is a lesbian who in her past was involuntarily forced out of the closet by another person's actions. Many people in real life have to deal with this very traumatic experience, and therefore if any of my descriptions of Renee's past prove harmful to you, please let either myself know directly or let me know through the Mods that I've upset you and I will change the content in question immediately. Same thing applies for if anything regarding how I handle her race or gender proves upsetting or offensive.
Renee can also be foul mouthed and violent at times, so those possibilities might crop up.
